WELCOME TO THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VARMIA AND MASURIA IN OLSZTYN.

University of Varmia and Masuria is one of the largest universities in Poland and is one of the most modern institutions of its kind in Europe. The University has sixteen faculties, in which students can study medicine, veterinary medicine, agriculture, engineering, biology, mathematics, arts, business and many others. The University continues a several centuries long tradition of education of theology and natural sciences. The universities medical programs are recognized by Departments of Education of United States and Canada as equal to their MD programs. Consequently, American and Canadian students can apply for financial aid by their governments.

The school of medicine offers very high standard of education. In contrary to all other medical schools in Europe, the University of Varmia and Masuria employs an independent american company to test students from each subject of study.
The major advantages of such testing is to provide each student and teacher with the most current information on the individualized progress and their acquired knowledge on an academic subject in respect to american standards.

The school also has incorporated two very intense preparatory seven week courses for the USMLEs within its academic curriculum (www.usmleprep.org). Students can participate in such courses throughout their studies at the University. These standards have ensured students to obtain exceptionally high scores on the USML tests.
